69 years old female presents with diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) on the top of the left foot. Patient has history of CHF, Type 2 DM, COPD, HTN, CA, IVC filter, DVT, and Parkinson’s disease. Patient is currently on Coumadin, and had a history of smoking and ETOH abuse. An oxygen tank was dropped on patients’ foot on 10-02-2009, fracturing the fourth metatarsal and creating this very unusual diabetic ulcer on the dorsum of the foot. She was treated unsuccessfully by a wound clinic for over a month before presenting her case in the office. Patient was treating with Wound-Be-Gone dressing, and the applications began on 11-22-2009 with non-stick dressing. Patient was healed on 12-12-2009.
