This 60 y.o. very active NIDDM white male has been suffering with this chronic ulcer right hallux for about a year. Patient has had multiple wound debridements through out the year. He is presently using Bactroban daily . Patient was hospitalized about 8-9 months ago for an infection right big toe. Patient is still working full time and is on his feet throughout the working day . Patient reports he has tried several types of orthotics , but nothing has worked. Patients circulation is 2/4 DP, and 2/4 PT pulses. PMH is significant for Diabetes, High Cholesterol, High Blood pressure, and Gout.
