Linda Rossi
Jean Mineconzo
Linda J. Rossi
RE: Work History
In 1989 Linda was working for an inventor engineer
who had a patent on a stair climbing device. This
device was introduced for the first time at the
Medtrade show in Atlanta. Working with people and
products in the medical field soon became a new home
for Linda who loved helping people.
In 1990 Linda started her own consulting business
named LO Parallel Concepts Inc. Her first assignment
was with Taylor Made HealthCare. This company with
the help of an inventor had a stand up wheel chair
for children so that they could get out of their
wheel chair for a brief period and be placed in a
standing position. Going to trade shows and working
with dealers nation wide was about the most exciting
job of all. Linda's additional duties were to make
sure all the reps nationwide had enough literature
and contacts within their territory. Soon after the
Mobile Stander Linda was approached by a manufacturer
from Germany with two of his popular products a
stroller and a posterial walker for children. With
Linda at the helm this line of products became very
popular and soon was acquired by Otto Bock a larger
manufacturer.
In 1992 both of Linda's parents died in the month
of November. At this time having her mother totally
disabled wound care dressings and pressure cushions
and mattresses were things she knew very little
about. I feel that every baby boomer should know
about all products when they have an aging parent
that need care.
Jean Mineconzo
525 Harrison Ave
Schenectady N.Y. 12305

While working for a dentist, Jean had the
opportunity to meet a gentleman who told her that she
had a wonderful manner with her patients. Recognizing
the concern and compassion shown for her patients, he
soon offered her a position in his well established
medical equipment store. Having a thirst for
knowledge and being the curious individual that she
is, Jean took the position. Not knowing this type of
business, Jean went to every school possible to learn
more about the medical equipment field and become
certified in all areas of this business so that she
would be an asset to her employer. This position also
gave her the opportunity to work with every facet of
the medical equipment business. While working at the
medical equipment store, Jean's attitude towards her
patients grew to the point of needing to treat every
patient that called or walked through the door.
As Jean's responsibilities grew with the medical
equipment store, it became quite apparent to Jean
that she had developed a love for Iymphadema, wound
care, mastectomy fittings, stocking fittings and DME
related products to aid and assist the physically
challenged. The need was overwhelming and Jean soon
bonded with her patients to provide 100 percent
patient care.
This is such a personal business that a patient
needs to have full faith in their care taker in order
to follow instructions and heal or at least maintain.
Patients also needed to know their rights which Jean
also provided. This information was so that the
patient maintains their dignity while being treated.
Jean owns her own consulting business and sub
contracts her services to other small business that
are in need of help. She also has developed and has
manufactured her own camisole used for post operation
patients after a mastectomy. The camisole has special
pockets to allow drainage tubes to be inserted while
looking just like a soft pretty garment. Jean wanted
her ladies to be as comfortable as possible after an
operation of that magnitude.
Wound care is also another of interest that Jean
has learned in Troy, N.Y. Jean is also very
knowledgeable in this area and prides herself in
knowing the proper products to apply when needed.
Jean witnessed hands on treatments with doctors and
nurses and found a need for proper protocol and
dressings to help these patients.
Nutrition is another aspect, in addition to proper
bed rest taught by Jean. Pressure relief to support
surfaces leads her to her knowledge with cushions and
mattress use to address this issue. Wound Care
Dressing is only one component for healing. It takes
all the key ingredients to make it all happen to
promote proper healing.
All this done by one 41 year old lady married 23
years to husband Michael. Jean is also proud of her
two sons Christopher, age 20, and Kevin, age 18, who
are her greatest support and biggest fans. Jean has
made a difference in her specialized industry and is
adored by all her patients. Its one thing to go to
work however ..... there are special ladies like Jean
Mineconzo that are on call 24 hours a day for her
patients.
