CARRASORB M is a
state-of-the art, sterile, preservative-free,
freeze-dried gel with aloe vera gel extract
containing acemannan that absorbs wound exudate,
transforms into a true gel similar to Carrington's
CARRASYN(R) Wound Gel and maintains the moist wound
environment necessary for the natural healing
process.
Indications:
CARRASORB M Freeze-Dried Gel (FDG) is a
sterile, preservative-free wound dressing that
absorbs medium -exudate in the following wound types:
- Pressure Ulcers - Stages 1-4
- Diabetic Ulcers
- Foot Ulcers
- Stasis Ulcers
- Post-Surgical Incisions
- Radiation Dermatitis
- Abrasions

Protocol:
Assess and document. Flush
wound with a suitable cleanser such as CARRAKLENZ
or ULTRAKLENZ Wound Cleanser.
Peel down side of package and remove CARRASORB
M using a clean procedure or aseptic technique as
appropriate.
Completely fill dead space with CARRASORB M
wafer by folding into wound, or tearing to pack into
undermined tissue (wafer decreases in size when
absorbing exudate.)
Cover with secondary dressing such as Carrington
film. Apply as often as necessary.
