Product Description: TIELLE
Hydropolymer dressing is constructed from an
absorbent hydropolymer. It is an island dressing with
a unique exudate handling system. TIELLE Dressing is
backed by a layer of material which assists in the
distribution of exudate throughout the dressing. The
layers form an island attached to a conformable,
waterproof, polyurethane backing which is permeable
to water vapor and gases.
WOUND TYPES: TIELLE Dressing is indicated
for the management of both chronic and superficial,
low to moderate exudating wounds. It has been found
to be safe, comfortable, and effective therapy in the
healing of leg ulcers, sacral wounds and heel wounds.
USAGE BENEFITS:
- Skin-friendly adhesive makes it easier to
apply and remove than a hydrocolloid.
- Provides a moist environment, thus
contributing to an improvement in the
condition of the wound.
- More than four times more fluid handling
capacity than hydrocolloids.
- Reduced odor level.
- No liquefaction of gel from dressing.
- Advanced fluid handling system draws excess
moisture away from the wound site preventing
maceration.
- Reduces the need for irrigation because no
gel is left in the wound.
- Suitable for use under compression bandaging.
- Can be used in conjunction with hydrogels and
alginates.
- More cost effective because it reduces the
number of dressing changes for undisturbed
moist wound healing.
