Enzymatic debriding agent (Accuzyme by HealthPoint Medical) used to remove eschar (along with cross hatching). Appropriate product selection, nutritional support, pressure relief and debridement combined to heal this wound. Call Dr. Fishman for more specifics at (305) 919-9192. Remember, stable heel pressure sores covered by eschar do not need to be debrided, but this case clearly shows an unstable area that has maceration and erythema.
