It is a papain-urea debriding ointment. Accuzyme ™ is a white, hydrophilic ointment with a pleasant creamy consistency, making it easy to see where it has been applied. As Accuzyme™ is worked into eschar tissue, wound moisture rapidly combines with the papain enzyme to immediately begin the debriding process. Simple to apply, Accuzyme™ stays in place on the wound until it is washed off with cleansers. It targets selective debridement of necrotic tissue with once-a-day application.

How does Accuzyme ™ work?

Papain, from the fruit of carica papaya, effectively digests nonviable protein matter without harming viable tissue.
